In recent weeks, we have welcomed a group of Austrian students of Social Work from the Joanneum University of Applied Sciences. We have also had visits from two groups of students from the Department of Human Resources and Social Protection of the UWNE. The visit was initiated by the students' tutor Emilia Maslarova, PhD. We have also exchanged experience with our colleagues from the Community Mental and Health Care Unit in Targovishte.
We have the pleasure to announce that on 5 May Violeta Parvanova, a client of the Day Care Centre, signed her first employment contract. Initially, she will be working on part-time basis.
This has been the first work contract— for the Day Care Centre and Violeta alike— who on 11 May will start as junior dish washer at the kitchen of the NOVOTEL SOFIA HOTEL.
Detelina Kamenova's documentary "In Maria's World" will air on BNT2- Ruse.

On Maundy Thursday we painted colourful eggs and baked fragrant, mouth-watering Easter cakes. We spent some time chatting about the most beloved Christian holiday- Easter and recalled the miracle of the Resurrection, reminding ourselves of the most cherished Christian values and the traditional feast we are all looking forward to on Sunday.
We wish all our friends and relatives a wonderful spring and much warm sunshine!
Today, we are visiting our new friends from Nestlé Bulgaria who have kindly enabled us to organise an Easter bazaar! Thank you!
Maria's World Foundation took part in the Our Palm Sunday spring sale organised by the Joy Foundation to the Veil of Our Lady Parish Centre.
On 31 March 2015, the last screening of the Worlds documentary took place at the hall of the Child and Adult Social Services Centre in Yambol. The event was organised jointly with Yambol Municipality.
The screening was attended by experts from the municipality, senior officials responsible for people with disabilities and social workers.
On 27 March 2015 the Worlds documentary was screened at the Pazardjik Social Services Centre. The event was attended by social workers in the field of service delivery to people with disabilities. It was organised jointly with our friends and partners from the Egida Association.
On 25 March 2015 the first of a series of screenings of the Worlds documentary took place in Lovech.
The event was organised jointly with Lovech Municipality and was attended by more than fifty professionals working in the social services field, municipal experts, parents, clients, guests from neighbouring municipalities and journalists.
In February and March 2015 Maria’s World Foundation organised three discussions in the form of training events intended for employers and dedicated to the labour market and people with intellectual difficulties. The aim was to introduce participants to useful information about the possibilities to employ people with intellectual difficulties.
This was our message for Xavier Lapeyre de Cabanes and Denis Knobel, Ambassadors of France and Switzerland to Bulgaria, respectively, who visited the Worlds Day Care Centre on 26 February.
The guests were met by the amiable and smiling young people with intellectual difficulties who were looking forward to showing them around the Worlds Day Care Centre—their home away from home.
