Goal of the project
The goal of the project is to focus public attention on people with intellectual difficulties in Bulgaria by using Swiss experience in work integration through an appropriate information campaign, including a documentary about the work of Swiss social and professional ateliers for people with intellectual difficulties.
The project "Maria's World: Setting up a Day Care Work Centre for people with mild and moderate intellectual difficulties – an innovative model of daycare for people with intellectual difficulties" is implemented in partnership with the De Passerel Foundation, the Netherlands, and De Passerel Bulgaria Foundation.
The aim of the project is to ensure that people with intellectual difficulties live an independent and dignified life by setting up the innovative Maria's World Day Care Work Centre and Sheltered Café for people with mild to moderate intellectual difficulties.
Goal of the project
At a charity event, which took place on 11 May 2013 in London, the Director of Maria’s World Foundation presented a project before a group of potential donors aimed at the acquisition of food preparation skills as a possibility for the development of the potential and improvement of the social integration of people with intellectual difficulties in Sofia.

The goal of the project is to raise the quality of life of young people with intellectual difficulties who attend the Worlds Day Care Centre.
The project’s main objective is increasing the cognitive, speech and communication skills of the clients of the Day Care Cen5e in order to raise their level of independence and ability to look after themselves depending on their individual capabilities thereby overcoming social exclusion.
Goal of the project
The goal of the project is to encourage young people with intellectual difficulties to take an active part in the development of the innovative potential of Sofia by creating opportunities for expression of an active civil position on relevant matters.
Maria’s World Foundation aims to change he quality of life of people with intellectual difficulties and, working in close cooperation with the Metropolitan Municipality, strives to create conditions that are conducive to a change in the environment and systems that prevent people with intellectual difficulties from developing their full potential.
A communication, promotion and funds raising campaign in support of the functioning of a Day Care Centre for People with Intellectual Difficulties.
In support of its efforts to promote and nurture a more tolerant and sensitive society and raise funds for its Day Care Centre Maria's World Foundation has launched the Be ONE OF A KIND for a KINDer World campaign.
